The Consistory has approved for the English Congregation to run Deacon Nomination and Elections again in order to fill the vacant positions. All members are requested to participate in this process by voting during the election Sundays.
The approved candidates for the English Deacon Election are Ivy Chang, Grace Hong, David Ko, and Danielle Mendoza. There are four (4) open deacon slots for English Congregation. Deacon election ballots will be collected on two consecutive Sundays, 1/1 and 1/8.
Today is our White Elephant gift exchange at 3 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a $15 wrapped gift! Please contact Grace Hong if you have questions.
Karen Lin and Johnny Tsai have organized a gift drive for the 178 residents at the Rego Park Nursing Home. Please have a labeled and wrapped gift(s) such as a scarf, winter hat, socks, adult coloring books, lotions, blankets. Please NO food or sharp objects. Latest collection is at 2:15 PM today. Mark your calendars! Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be on Saturday, 12/24, from 6:30–7:30 PM in the sanctuary. We will be joined by the Mandarin congregation. The Mandarin Sunday School will present a skit and our English Congregation Choir will present songs. We’re looking for ushers/ greeters for the Candlelight Service.
