The Consistory has approved for the English Congregation to run Deacon Nomination and Elections again in order to fill the empty positions. All members are requested to participate in this process. The timetable is as follows:
a. Announcement of candidates beginning Sunday, 12/18
b. Deacon Election Ballots collection Sundays, 1/1 and 1/8We'll be hosting a White Elephant Gift Exchange next Sunday, 12/18, at 3pm in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a $15 wrapped gift! Please direct questions to Grace Hong at chencgrace@gmail.com.
Karen Lin and Johnny Tsai are organizing a gift drive for 178 senior residents at the Rego Park Nursing Home. Please bring your donated gifts wrapped and labeled on Sunday, 12/18. Suggested items include scarves, winter hats, socks, adult coloring books, lotions, and, blankets. Please DO NOT include food or sharp objects. Coordinator for gift collection at Newtown is Wendy Kwan (347-210-0558).
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be on Saturday, Dec. 24 from 6:30pm—7:30 PM in the sanctuary. We will join Madarin Congregation in a combined service. The Mandarin Sunday School will present a skit and our English Congregation Choir will present songs.
