JoyCamp applications deadline is today! You can apply through the link on their Instagram (@joycamp.elmhurst). If you are in high school or college and have a heart to teach the gospel to the children of Elmhurst, serving in JoyCamp will be perfect for you. For any questions, you can speak to Hannah Mendoza, director of JoyCamp.
Today is our church picnic after service at the Elmhurst Park (57th Ave. & Grand Ave.). Bring your own lunch and some snacks or drinks to share with everyone!
Our church is discerning how we will relate to our denomination in the future. Currently, we are considering whether to remain in the Reformed Church in America and transfer to a new regional classis, called Classis de las Naciones, or move to the Christian Reformed Church denomination. If you want to learn more about the Classis de las Naciones there will be a Zoom info session with their executive director on Thursday, 5/2 at 7:00PM. Look to our Facebook group or ask someone on leadership for the Zoom link.
We will discuss the denomination question during our town hall next Sunday, 5/5. We will also propose a restructuring of the worship times of all three congregations at our church in order to allow better collaboration between then Mandarin and English congregations. The town hall will begin immediately after worship in the fellowship hall.
Please continue to support the various ministries at church by tithing online at the link below or utilizing the tithing box outside of the sanctuary center doors.
