All members of Newtown mark your calendars for a congregational meeting on 11/17 after worship. At this meeting we will vote on TWO things—our elders and deacons for 2025, and the decision to leave Queens Classis and join Classis de las Naciones.
The Elder and Deacon nominations have concluded and we are happy to announce the following candidates:
Deacons: Carmen Tan and Andrew Wang
Elders: Stephen Lin and Catharina Lee from English, Stone Hsieh from Taiwanese, and
Peter Cheng from Mandarin.
Thanksgiving is coming up and in the spirit of the holiday, join us for our annual Thanksgiving potluck on 11/24! This’ll be a great time to invite friends and family. There will be a spreadsheet for food sign-ups posted on our Facebook group. For any questions about this event, contact Danielle from the hospitality committee.
Starting December 1st we will no longer be livestreaming our Sunday worship. Our worship committee made this decision in order to reduce the workload on Sunday morning volunteers and emphasize our church’s strength as a local, in-person community who all participate in worship together. If you miss worship one week and want access to pastor Ryan’s teaching, you can ask him for a manuscript. Thank you and blessings to everyone who engaged through our livestream.
