ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Slideshow techs and usher volunteers needed for the fall! If you are interested in being an in-person usher/greeter, please email Gene at genefangdds@gmail.com. If you can be a slideshow tech, online moderator or any other position, please email Beverly at churchemailforbev@gmail.com for more information. Thank you to all the people who have helped out already!!

  2. The in-person English Children’s Sunday School will be starting up in the Fall again for those in 1st - 5th grade! If you’re interested in teaching/helping with Children’s Sunday School, please email Anny Ko at heyanny@gmail.com.

  3. Church Consistory approved reopening our church to stage 4 which includes 50% capacity for worship service as well as for other church meetings and programs.  This means an increase to an 80 congregant limit for in person worship in the sanctuary.  If you are involved in a ministry that would like to use church space in a limited capacity, please contact the leadership team at english.deacons@newtown.church.

  4. The fellowship hall will be available during service time from 1 pm - 2 pm for anyone with young children or special needs to watch a livestream of the Sunday worship service.  If you are interested, please contact the deacons at english.deacons@newtown.church.

  5. Although we long for everyone to be able to worship together, a reminder to refrain from attending in-person service if you are experiencing/have had any COVID symptoms or have had positive contact in the last 14 days.
If you test positive for Covid and have attended service in the last two weeks, please contact the English church leadership at english.deacons@newtown.church so that we can conduct a
    confidential contact trace.

  6. Join us next Sunday, August 22, to serve our church and neighbors by helping to clean up outside of church and the surrounding area! Planning to clean after Sunday service next Sunday for about 30 minutes, weather permitting.  If you have any other ideas of how to serve our community, please share with the deacons!

  7. Please continue to tithe online at newtown.church/donate to continue to support the various ministries at church or use the large tithing box outside of the sanctuary center doors.

You can reach out to our interim pastor, Pastor John at PastorJohnLee@newtown.church or if you would like to reach English Leadership, contact the deacons at english.deacons@newtown.church.
