Seminar on Asian American Identity, Christian Discipleship, and Responses to Racism!
Asian American Identity, Christian Faith, and Responses to Racism November 11th and 18th, 7:30p-9p With Dr. Daniel Lee, Professor and Academic Dean of the Center for Asian American Theology and Ministry at Fuller Seminary.
RSVP HERE:
NOVEMBER 11th Asian American Identity and Christian Faith
This session covers the diversity and complexity of Asian American identity, and how it matters to God. As Christians, we worship a God of history, of the Covenant, and of the Incarnation. We encounter this living God in our own particular historical and socio-political spaces, with our particular bodies. As such, understanding what it means to be Asian American in our time is essential for living out our faith.
NOVEMBER 18th Black Lives, Systemic Racism, and Asian American Discipleship
This year has seen a resurgence of calls to fight systemic racism and support the movement for Black Lives. This session addresses how Asian American Christians can be actively involved in the work of racial justice in an informed and thoughtful manner.
