  1. Next Sunday, 4/28, join us for our church picnic after service at the Elmhurst Park( 57th Ave. & Grand Ave.). Bring your own lunch and also some snacks or drinks to share with everyone! There will be a cooler to store drinks.

  2. The church leadership continues to prayerfully consider whether to remain in the Reformed Church in America, transfer to a new regional classis (Classis de las Naciones), or move to the Christian Reformed Church denomination. If you want to learn more about the Classis de las Naciones there will be a Zoom info session with their executive director on Thursday, 5/2 at 7:00PM. Refer to our Facebook group or ask someone on leadership for the Zoom link.

  3. We will discuss the denomination question during a town hall on Sunday, 5/5. We will also propose a restructuring of the worship times of all three congregations at our church in order to allow better collaboration between then Mandarin and English congregations. The town hall will begin immediately after worship on 5/5 in the fellowship hall.

  4. We were very encouraged to see how much our church congregations wanted to support the Taiwan Missions 2024 Team.  We are pleased to announce that, with the help of the donations thus far and the fundraiser last Sunday, we have met and exceeded our goal of $10K.  If you still feel called to help out financially, you can write your check to 'Reformed Church of Newtown' and in the memo line write 'Taiwan Mission 2024'.  All donations will go into the church Mission Fund for future missions related expenses.  For the remaining months, we ask that you partner with the mission team and continue to pray for them.

  5. JoyCamp Core Team applications are open! You can apply through the link on their Instagram (@joycamp.elmhurst). If you are in high school or college and have a heart to teach the gospel to the children of Elmhurst, serving in JoyCamp will be perfect for you.  The last day to apply is April 26th. For any questions, you can speak to Hannah Mendoza, director of JoyCamp.

  6. Please continue to support the various ministries at church by tithing online at the link below or utilizing the tithing box outside of the sanctuary center doors.
