We are accepting nominations for deacons and elders, the elected leaders who lead and make decisions on behalf of our congregation. To make a nomination, talk to one of the current deacons. Nominations will begin on 9/29 and end on 10/13 at 3pm. The in-person election is scheduled for the congregational meeting on 11/17.
During the 11/17 election, we will also hold a formal vote to leave Queens classis and join the Classis de las Naciones, thus remaining in our denomination but changing the network of churches to which we belong. The decision to affiliate with Classis de las Naciones is the fruit of over a year of discernment and prayer so we hope that, by the time we vote, we can approve the transfer unanimously. Children’s Sunday School is looking for more teachers and assistants for the coming semester. Please contact David Ko or any of the deacons if interested in helping with this ministry.
Please pray for our church’s search for a children’s Sunday school director.
Beginning on 10/6 the English worship service will start at 1:30pm instead of 1:00pm in order to encourage more young people from our Mandarin congregation to join us.
