ANNOUNCEMENTS

Save the Date!

Pastor Chris, Kathryn and Eben's official last day at Newtown Church is Sunday January 17 which is fast approaching.     Let's join together to give them a proper send off!  There will be two opportunities for you to take part in this and we encourage everyone to participate in both!

Individuals and families are welcome to come and say their farewells in person on Sunday January 17th.  The Koch's will be available outside of church in the church parking lot from 3:30 pm through 4:30 pm for anyone to come by and share their encouragement, prayers and well wishes.  This will not be a formal gathering or service but people will line up in a socially distanced manner and take turns saying their farewells.  Please remember to wear masks and stay at least 6 feet apart!

In addition, there will be a final farewell zoom service on Sunday January 17 at 7:30 pm.  This will be our chance to corporately celebrate the seven years of the Kochs' faithful service at Newtown as well as the relationships that they have built and nurtured over those years.  Join us for some fun, sharing, reminiscing, praying and a whole lotta love!

SONGS

CAME TO MY RESCUE

Chorus
I called You answered
And You came to my rescue
And I I wanna be where You are

Verse 1
Falling on my knees in worship
Giving all I am to seek Your face
Lord all I am is Yours

My whole life I place in Your hands
God of mercy humbled I bow down
In Your presence at Your throne

Chorus

Verse 2
My whole life I place in Your hands
God of mercy humbled I bow down
In Your presence at Your throne

Chorus

Bridge
In my life be lifted high
In our world be lifted high
In our love be lifted high

KNOWING YOU

All I once held dear built my life upon
All this world reveres and wars to own
All I once thought gain I have counted loss
Spent and worthless now compared to this

Chorus
Knowing You Jesus knowing You
There is no greater thing
You're my all You're the best

You're my joy my righteousness
And I love You Lord

Now my heart's desire is to know You more
To be found in You and known as Yours
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All surpassing gift of righteousness

Chorus

Oh to know the pow'r of Your risen life
And to know You in Your sufferings
To become like You in Your death my Lord
So with You to live and never die

Chorus

I’d Rather Have You

Mountains they will fall
Riches they will cease
The treasures of this world
Are buried with their Kings

This is not my home
Filled with pride and greed
Jesus You are all
All I need

Chorus 1

Because I'd rather have You
I'd rather have You
Nothing I desire
Could ever come close
to what I have in You
The treasure that I choose
is treasure that lasts
Because I'd rather have You

Bridge

Forgive my desires
forgive every motive
Forgive my intentions
Because I'd rather have You
If it's not Your will God
I don't even want it
Now I surrender
'cause I'd rather have You

Chorus
