ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. We will have Communion today. For those who are participating via YouTube, please prepare the elements for the sacrament. You can use juice or wine, and bread or crackers. For those in person, we will have individually wrapped cups and crackers for you.

  2. Join us for a BBQ and church wide hangout immediately after Sunday service next week on Sept 12. Gather at the front church parking lot from 2:00 - 3:30 PM to enjoy some food and fellowship. Let's take the time to reconnect and eat!

  3. Our church will be holding consistory nominations for elders and deacons in a few weeks. 
    The main goal of the elections this year is to make sure that we confirm TWO (2) Elders and AT LEAST, TWO (2) English Deacons. The English Congregation is currently operating with only 5 out of 6 deacons and at least, 2 more will be stepping down at the end of the year.

    Due to the urgent need for English Deacons, the leadership has agreed to suspend the selection of candidates for specific church ministries (i.e. - missions, worship, etc.) This year, we are putting the call out for the nomination of AT LEAST TWO (2) deacons to be joining the active deacons for 2022. The assignments to the church ministries will be made based on need and gifts after the election.

    Please take this time to prayerfully consider the Elder and Deacon nominations. Please stay tuned for more details.

  4. The in-person English Children’s Sunday School will be starting up in the fall again for those in 1st - 5th grade!  If you’re interested in teaching/helping with Children’s Sunday School, please email Anny Ko at heyanny@gmail.com. 

  5. Slideshow techs and usher volunteers are needed for the fall. If you are interested in being an in-person usher/greeter, please email Gene at genefangdds@gmail.com. If you can be a slideshow tech, online moderator or any other position, please email Beverly at churchemailforbev@gmail.com for more information. Thank you so much to all the people who have helped out already!

  6. Please continue to tithe online at newtown.church/donate to continue to support the various ministries at church or use the large tithing box outside of the sanctuary center doors.
